SPOTLIGHT

Ron has been involved at the Saline Area Senior Center for two years. His “office” is in the library and he is a certified acupuncturist.
Ron attended Alma College for an English degree, then went to Michigan State University for another degree in sociology. He moved west to pursue his interest in Acupuncture,  Chinese herbs and energy work. He studied acupuncture at Five Branches University in California to earn a Masters degree.
Returning to Michigan due to family interests, he is now in private practice. Ron rotates between eleven locations in southeastern Michigan and specializes in practicing with seniors. He thinks they deserve affordable health care.
Ron enjoys helping people and is interested in alternative approaches to health care. He enjoys mountain biking and attending movies. If you have an interest in learning more, stop in on Tuesdays or Fridays to speak with Ron, and observe the process.

REGISTRATION DEADLINES & FEES
A registration deadline is listed for each activity so a decision can be made as to whether there are enough registrants to warrant running the program.  All programs have a minimum and maximum number of participants needed/allowed in order for the program to run smoothly.  Therefore, any activity that does not meet the minimum enrollment requirement may be cancelled.  Please register as early as possible, as registrations will be accepted on a first-pay, first-served basis. When signing up for a program, please remember that activities are open to members until the listed deadline date.  After that date, if space is still available, non-member guests are welcome to join us.  For all activities, classes, day trips and programs, there is an additional $5 charge for non-member guests.

Refund Policy for Trips

Please let us know as soon as possible if you are unable to participate in an activity for which you have signed up so that someone on the waitlist may be contacted.  There are no refunds, credits, or reduction of fees for classes missed by the student.  Therefor, classes will not be prorated.  Full refunds are made when SASC cancels an activity due to insufficient registration or circumstances beyond our control.  If you sign up for an activity and must drop out, your money will be returned to you only if a replacement is found.  Replacements are not solicited by the office until after the program is full.  Finding your own replacement is always encouraged.  If a waiting list is available, and someone on the waiting list replaces you, your money will be gladly refunded.  Transfers are only allowed as an alternative to receiving a refund when a program is cancelled by the  Senior Center.
